Getting Started with Easy Screen vs. Edit Screen in Your Plugin

When using our plugin, you'll notice two distinct user interfaces: the Easy Screen and the Edit Screen. Here’s how they differ and how to make the most of each:

Easy Screen: The Easy Screen is the default view when you open most plugins. It’s designed for quick, everyday tasks without diving into advanced settings. Here’s what you’ll find:

• Simplified Controls: Fewer knobs and buttons for common adjustments.
• Device List: Displays available presets (or active devices/instruments) on the left. Each preset offers multi parameters, which act like macro controls.
• Color Coding: Devices are highlighted with different text colors:
  • Black/White: Essential for general use.
  • Green: Tailored for specific tasks like vocal processing.
  • Red: Offers unique or extreme processing effects.
  • Blue: Requires additional inputs like side-chain or MIDI to function properly.

Edit Screen: Switch to the Edit Screen by clicking the Edit button. Here, you’ll find:

• Full Feature Access: Explore all plugin features and settings.
• Detailed Customization: Adjust parameters and settings that aren’t visible on the Easy Screen.
• Multi Parameters: Configure these to create your own custom presets. Each multiparameter controls one or more plugin parameters.

Switching Between Screens: Toggle between Easy and Edit screens without losing settings, unless you make changes. It’s a great way to preview and tweak settings:

• Click Edit to switch to the detailed Edit Screen.
• Hold Ctrl and click Edit to view both screens simultaneously (advanced users).

Creating Your Own Presets: While in Edit mode, configure your plugin settings and define multi parameters. Switch back to the Easy Screen to check your interface. When satisfied, save your custom preset.
