It allows you to control and trigger sounds and effects using external devices or other tracks within your project.

Why Would I Use It? MIDI routing is essential for integrating hardware controllers, sequencing melodies, triggering virtual instruments, and automating parameters. It enables flexible and dynamic control over your music production, enhancing creativity and workflow efficiency.

How to Set It Up in Different DAWs

Cubase:

• Create a new MIDI track and set the plugin as its output destination.

Logic:

• Create an Instrument track, select the plugin from AU MIDI-controlled Effects / MeldaProduction, and route MIDI to it. Route audio to be processed by the plugin to this track.

Studio One:

• Create a new MIDI track and assign the plugin as its output destination.

Digital Performer:

• In the Track view, create a new MIDI track and set the plugin as its output destination.

Reaper:

• Create a new MIDI track, select the plugin, and configure MIDI routing as required.

Ableton Live:

• Create a new MIDI track, choose the track with the plugin in the 'MIDI To' menu. Note: Only the first plugin on any track can receive MIDI in Live.

ProTools:

• Create a new MIDI track, then in the mixer, assign the plugin from the track's output menu.

FL Studio:

• For MIDI notes, configure the input device in MIDI settings or the output port in wrapper options for VST plugins. Ensure the plugin's input port matches the selected MIDI port. For MIDI controllers, link CC messages to plugin parameters via the wrapper.
